domaine ligneres - view of Alaric Mountain

The Notre Dame terroir at the southern end of the estate is made up of very fine calcareous graves and fluvial silts, providing the ideal environment for our low yielding Syrah vines. Because of this situation, compared to the other syrahs of the Domaine, Notre Dame's syrah is characterized by its depth and spiciness. Most of all, its tannins are particularly dense and velvety.
